Well Memorial Weekend flew - like all fun times with our family gathered together. It was a really wonderful holiday with all the kids in Ohio. By Tuesday p.m. all had flown away - back to their lives... except Bennett - leaving Cyd here to join the house team. Today was a bit fractured due to a mid-day appointment with the framer. SWL hit the house hard all day - almost completing Cyd's closet... he finished framing, setting a doorway, blocking, and setting the wires I'd hung so long ago! I believe all he has left is detail on the entry door. Next up - foam insulation, then drywall. Cyd and I started with a few errands for hardware and dropping a car back to Hunts.
Next up was spraying the old iron bed.... for it's 3rd life. Our timing was perfect as Chris and David - our house painters - were breaking for an early lunch... and they had to show us how it was done.... by pretty much doing it!! It looks wonderful, and we can't wait to see it set up. We made it to Barrington in time to give the kitchen ceiling a couple coats of paint - looks like it needs a 3rd - and it was dog time already. Tomorrow - we're tackling Bennett's study - finally! We miss you all. Thank you again for traveling to share your weekend! xoxo
